Pousada da Margarida

The suite Cosmos was spacious and had a king bed, a closet that helped keep our things tidy, and a roomy bathroom with a great shower. The bed, sheets, comforter, and pillows were all very comfortable, and the room stayed dark in the morning. I came with my boyfriend, and we both felt at home. Breakfast was delicious, especially the herb bread, the bolinho de chuva made from their exclusive secret recipe, little pão de queijo, and the amazing jams. They make most of what they serve. The house has lots of history, and each object seems to have a story. It has the feel of a grandma’s home with modern touches and lovely decor details. Felipe, Bruna, and Benê, their little dog, are adorable and helpful hosts with especially good food tips. Pets are welcome, and Benê, the lovely chihuahua hostess, greets them. The house has such a good energy. We’ve stayed at better-known places in the area, but this one surpassed them and has become our favorite. Five stars are the least I’d give it. It’s absolutely worth it!

The only hard part was having to head home. We’d been waiting for a chance to stay at Pousada since it opened a year ago, and it lived up to everything people had said, and then some. Bruna and Felipe welcomed us warmly at the gate with coffee and a delicious little cake. They gave us great tips and treated us like family. It felt as if we’d known them for years, and Benê, the sweetest and friendliest little dog, won us over too. Everything was clean and organized, with a grandma’s-house style where the details brought back happy family memories. The bed, pillows, sheets, blankets, and towels were all good quality and comfortable. Breakfast was hard to put into words: the wonderful bolinho de chuva, warm popcorn pão de queijo, eggs cooked to order, jams made with garden produce, and a delicious soft cake. Everything was fresh and wholesome. It was a complete experience, beyond what we expected. We’ll be back soon!

The hosts were so thoughtful and gave us tips for several outings. I loved everything and can’t wait to return. Our room was huge and really comfortable, and the cleanliness was impeccable. The decor is beautiful, with every detail thoughtfully done, and the whole pousada feels so cozy. Breakfast was fantastic, especially the bolinho de chuva, the best I’ve ever had, and the pão de queijo.

We came looking for somewhere to rest and recharge, and this place was just right. Bruna and Felipe were very attentive and easy to reach, and the pousada itself is beautiful, clean, organized, and wonderfully cozy, with an amazing energy. Breakfast was delicious. Be sure to try the famous bolinho de chuva and the jams. It’s really worth staying here, and I highly recommend it!
