Pousada La Sierra

It’s peaceful and quiet here, and the deck, with several local birds around, is a treat for kids and grown-ups alike. Breakfast had cakes, breads, and juices. It’s a good place to stay, but walking to the center isn’t practical because the way back is all uphill, haha.

We spent five peaceful days here and felt right at home. The view was splendid, with lovely birds around, and the breakfast was delicious. The accommodation was great, and the inn is close to the town center, with a fair price too. Our hosts, " Luciano e Daniela ", were very polite and helpful. Highly recommend it, and we’ll definitely be back.

The room had everything we needed for a short stay, with warm water in both the shower and tub and blankets that kept us comfortable. The small heater was enough for us, too. We really enjoyed the lovely birds and the stunning view at breakfast, and the service was excellent. The bathroom door stuck, and the sound insulation could be better, though the private bathroom meant the door issue didn’t cause trouble. A very good stay overall.

The homemade breakfast was simple but fresh and tasty, and the location was reasonably close to the center. Still, after my first stay at La Sierra, I don’t plan to come back. The room had a slight damp smell, which set off an asthma attack for my fiancé and my rhinitis. On our second night, we smelled what seemed to be leaking gas. The owner checked and said everything was fine, but the methane smell became unbearable, and we were too shaken to sleep. There were other oddities: the bed linens didn’t match, each room had just one access card, and we unfortunately lost ours while out. After checkout, the inn contacted us because we’d left the car there for lunch and they needed the parking spot. When we arrived, there were still eight spaces free.
