I loved my stay and hope to come back. It’s near a supermarket and within walking distance of downtown Canela. There’s also a great local bar nearby, Lake House, with live music, plus some nice restaurants. The place is fantastic, and the host is super nice.

I absolutely loved Casa Guimarães. Lilia is lovely and attentive, makes you feel at ease, and answers every question, even before your stay. The house is simple, but like a little dollhouse, very comfortable, tidy, clean, cozy, and equipped with everything you need at home. It’s about a 15-minute walk or less from the Cathedral, and close to restaurants, grocery stores, ice cream shops, and cafés. I walked back and forth alone late at night as a woman, which would be hard to do in many other places, but Canela felt very calm. It’s well worth staying here. I recommend it and hope to return. 😊

A good place to stay overnight, and the check-in and directions were all fine. What bothered us was how different the two houses are. One has air conditioning, a window, a table, and a bedroom door. The one we stayed in had none of those, just a small fan, no window for ventilation, and the bed was in the kitchen. We paid the same price for both, even though the accommodations are very different.

The place was clean, safe, and easy to get to, with very good accommodations. The host provided excellent service and help. Congratulations, Lilia, and thank you for everything.
