Pousada Mirante Dos Barcos

Great!

The location is excellent, close to the beach, but the accommodations were awful. We were put in a really cramped apartment with just one bathroom, even though we'd requested one for 6 people. The garage was so tight that a large car or pickup wouldn't fit. When we asked about the parking space, the attendant was very rude and told us to leave if we weren't happy. We'd already paid in advance, and she wouldn't refund us, so we had to stay. At least it was only 2 days. I wouldn't recommend the place. For that price, there are much better options.

We've spent our holidays at this hotel for 4 summers and used to love it. The staff had always been welcoming, but after this experience, we're done. A staff member showed us to the parking area and assigned us a spot when we arrived at night. The next morning, the receptionist came out shouting that it wasn't our space and that we had to move the car right away. We had only parked there because we'd been directed to it. The space assigned to us wouldn't fit our car, so we offered to leave it in front of the hotel, but she rudely said that wasn't allowed either. We didn't leave then only because we'd planned that weekend already.

I usually visit in the off-season, and the rooms are still comfortable and well looked after. It's a particularly pleasant place, with a character of its own, and the team are attentive and polite.
