Hostel Ondas Caraíva

The service was impeccable, the location was good, and both the rooms and breakfast were lovely. Everything was clean, and I had an incredible experience. I’d definitely come back.

The rooms are really spacious and clean, the service is very good, and breakfast is excellent, served by Ale or Julia. It’s close to both the beach and the center, and among the options Caraiva has to offer, it’s a very good choice. Valentin, the inn’s adorable kitten, is a special guest who wins everyone over.

The staff were very kind and attentive, and there’s also a hostel and a house available to rent for larger groups. The inn is leafy and peaceful, with clean rooms that smell lovely. Even though it’s on the street behind the sea, you can fall asleep to the sound of the waves. Breakfast was fresh and delicious, with cuscuz, tapioca, and pão de queijo. It’s a great place to stay in Caraíva if you want peace, comfort, and a homey feel.

I wouldn’t recommend this place. I’ve stayed in several places in Caraíva, and this one disappointed me and the others with us. The price is like that of inns with much better facilities, service, and breakfast. What they offer isn’t worth even 10% of the nightly rate. The service was awful and rude. The only person who made us comfortable was the woman looking after breakfast, who did everything she could to make us feel welcome, but she was severely limited. The owner, who is well known in the village and also owns another popular nightlife business there, was very rude and tactless. Her family, her mother and brother who live at the inn, were also very unfriendly, from not even saying good morning to neglecting cleaning and garden upkeep. The bathroom was terrible. The place left a lot to be desired.
