The staff were warm and welcoming, and the room was spacious. Cores do Mar has a beautiful spot right by the sea, with a lovely pool. If you’re after an unforgettable stay in Caraiva, consider this hotel.

The beachside location is a real plus, and the bedrooms were comfortable and well kept. Staff were welcoming, breakfast was enjoyable, and it was convenient that it started early and continued until around 11am. Pool service was attentive too. There’s music by the pool from around 10:00 to 17:00, so the daytime atmosphere is lively and fun if you like drinks and music while you relax. If you’re hoping for total quiet to read, hear the birds, or just listen to the waves, this may not be the right fit. It worked well as a social, fun holiday stay.

The bar at the inn is pleasant, the staff are nice, and the music is really good. But the fried calamari (Lula à doré) was the worst I’ve ever had 🤮
