Divino Apartamento no Vila Galé Cumbuco

We had a great time here as a family. It's child friendly, so we got to take a little break from parenting duties. The all-inclusive buffet was good quality, though some days were better than others, which comes down to personal taste. Staff were always friendly and supportive.

I'm on day three of a seven-day stay, and the service has been terrible. There aren't enough staff serving guests. The team is kind, but there's a big gap in the service. The drinks are okay, but you wait a long time for them, and you could buy them at a cheap wholesaler for US$1.00. There are three specialty restaurants you can book, but don't waste your time. The food is the same as the buffet, and service takes so long you could have served yourself. The main buffet closes at 10:30 p.m. My family and I arrived at 9:30 p.m. and there was no food. When I asked where it was, a kind lady said, “At 9:30, we stopped service, only if you order.”

There's loads of entertainment for kids, with food and drinks available all day, so it's a great place for families. Service isn't its strong point, and the food is made in huge quantities, which sometimes affects the quality. Go in with modest expectations for the service and you can enjoy your stay. It's definitely worth a visit, and I'm keen to come back.

It was a good stay overall. The hotel is nice, well located, and wasn't too crowded. When I first got to my room, the air conditioning wasn't working and the door wouldn't lock, but the replacement room was okay. The rooms are getting old, and the food isn't amazing, though I wouldn't expect great food around the clock. I arrived at 2 a.m. and the kitchen was open, serving sandwiches and burgers. Seems like a great place to spend a few relaxing days.
