Karla was especially attentive and polite, and the owners were great. If I’m back in the area, I won’t hesitate to stay again. The view over part of the city is lovely, and the place is practically in central Caxambu. I chose a room with a bunk bed since I only needed somewhere to sleep. It was new, with a ceiling light and a light by each bed, plus a great shower. I didn’t use the suite, but it looked very comfortable.

It was quiet and a really nice place to rest. You can see Pico da Careta, a face in profile on the horizon. The pousada surprised us, with a cozy feel throughout the indoor and outdoor spaces. We ordered from the digital menu and were impressed by the quality of the dishes. I’ll be back soon.

The place was peaceful and quiet, and everything was clean and organized. The suite I booked had a comfortable box bed. I also loved the host’s little shop on site, with rustic pieces at affordable prices. I booked a special stay that included meals, and everything was just right and good quality. I definitely recommend it.

The warm, easygoing welcome was one reason we ended up staying an extra day in Caxambu. After a whole day cycling along the Estrada Real, Karla and Bruno’s cozy place felt like a real relief. My friends camped, while I slept in the shared room. Everything felt thoughtfully cared for: clean, fresh-smelling towels, a well-equipped kitchen, a good-sized bathroom, and a wonderful view.

There’s a shared kitchen where you can make your own food, but no breakfast is provided. The pousada is a long way from the city center, with no little market, bakery, or pharmacy nearby. The hills are very steep on the way up.
