The staff were very helpful, and our room was spacious, but several things really affected our one-night stay. There was a cricket in the room when we arrived, and we had to kill it. The blanket was dirty and smelled bad when we opened it. Then, in the middle of the night, a strong sewage odor started coming from the bathroom and didn’t go away before checkout. It was genuinely unbearable. The hotel offered no discount or other compensation, which would have been fair in the circumstances. Breakfast was only so-so.

It’s on a quiet street and well located. The welcome and reception were very good.

The owner is fairly friendly, but his sister, who seems to spend most of her time there, acts like she hates you and doesn’t even answer a good morning. If you want decent service, talk to Diego. For what you get, the price is far too high. There’s no minibar even in a room that costs 85 per night, which is ridiculous. Cleanliness was poor, with dirty spots on the floor, sheet, and bathroom. The towels and bedding were so worn they should have been replaced already. Breakfast is included, but it’s very limited, mostly bread and cheese, and the food is low quality. The pão de queijo was hard, the juice weak, and the yogurt awful. Nothing there makes the customer happy. The TV is placed so awkwardly that it’s hard to watch comfortably. You can hear everything in the next room. One night I couldn’t sleep because the dogs that live there barked all night, and another night I could hear the guest next door coughing as if they were right beside me. In the morning, beams of light come through the doors. Lunch is very expensive and low quality, so eat somewhere else if you want a good meal. There are also children living there who sometimes decide to yell.
