Cooking with friends is part of what makes this place fun. You can bring your own food and use the kitchen, grill, and appliances, and the kitchen sits right in the middle of the main room. The staff are so friendly that they'll help with the dishes and other less fun bits. It's a great weekend getaway with kids, as I did, or with a date, though I think a group of friends is the best way to enjoy it.

The breakfast was delicious and the service was great. It's a very comfortable inn in a convenient location, possibly the best place to stay in Itaunas. It lives up to the Roteiro de Charme seal.

The rooms are roomy and comfortable, and I've stayed in one with an outdoor jacuzzi and one without. I'd recommend the jacuzzi for couples who'd enjoy a private, intimate glass of wine. There's also a gourmet kitchen for chefs and people who like to cook. Pousada is a lovely, welcoming place tucked into the raw natural surroundings of Vila de Itaunas, with a really nice beachy sophistication. The village is charming for an evening walk, pizza, or a drink, and the beach and dunes are well worth seeing. Highly recommend.
