Almenat Embu das Artes Sao Paulo, Tapestry Collection

The birthday cake was delicious, and the staff even sang to my wife when they brought it. That was one of the moments that made this stay feel special. People here kept finding ways to help us, and after only a few days some staff already recognized us and helped us get where we wanted to go. The food was excellent, especially at Japi restaurant. The resort feels tucked into the forest even though it isn't far from Sao Paulo. I speak very little Portuguese, but that wasn't a problem since things are also available in English and most staff speak some. Our room was great, with a comfortable king bed and all the expected comforts, including a huge flat screen TV. Between the indoor and outdoor pools, fitness center, lake hammocks, nature trail, bowling alley, billiards, volleyball, soccer fields, and tennis courts, there was plenty to do. I may have missed something. The bowling alley right on the property was a first for me. I came to celebrate my wife's birthday, and as a Lifetime Diamond Hilton member and seasoned traveler, I can't recall a hotel going so far to look after us, from meals and activities to the room. My wife is Brazilian, which I know makes being here easier for us, but I think anyone would enjoy it. It seems great for families, and the conference and meeting facilities also have me thinking about bringing key employees from the United States for a retreat. A five star experience.
