The place is pretty and there’s a river behind it, but that didn’t make up for our experience. Our room had cockroaches and little flying bugs; we killed a lot of the roaches, and my husband barely slept because he was afraid. I chose the hotel after seeing the pool, but it was dirty. There were lots of tiny flies around the food at breakfast, and the staff washed the cups and plates but gave them to guests while still wet. The rooms need pest control, and the dishes at breakfast need more care.

The river running alongside the place is lovely, and the location is great. But the building is very old and poorly maintained. I like rustic places, but this one really needs an update. The pool was out of service and dirty, and there could be more cleaning. Breakfast was standard. We went last year.

Really nice hotel, I enjoyed it a lot. Breakfast was excellent and I’d happily come back. The only “flaw” was that the pool was about half empty.

The hotel is pretty old, but for us guys it was fine. Coxim used to be well known as a fishing destination, but the fish are gone, and the hotels are short on guests and investment. You can understand why things are difficult.
