Hotel Danubio by OYO Rooms

The hotel is in a handy spot, almost right across from the bus station, and there’s a place opposite that serves a really good jantinha. The staff were polite and helpful. My room had a TV, minibar, and air conditioning, plus a good bed and clean sheets. Breakfast was very good, with plenty of choices.

I’ve been staying here for a long time and still really like it. The service is good and breakfast is very good. It feels like being at home with family.

Coming back to the room with my two colleagues, I found that all our things had been taken out. I nearly panicked. The receptionist didn’t know where they were, so he called the person in charge. She said one of us had asked for them to be removed to avoid another night’s charge, which made no sense since we hadn’t said that and were still planning to sleep there before leaving in the early morning. We didn’t even have time to file a police report. It was completely disrespectful. Guests’ belongings should never be touched.

A taxi driver at the bus station recommended this place, and it’s very close by. It’s an inexpensive option if you only need one night. The staff were attentive and breakfast was very good. The room had a comfortable bed, minibar, air conditioning, and luggage rack, and the bathroom had hot water. There are stairs, though, so I’m not sure it would work for wheelchair users.
