I only put up with the place because I needed somewhere close by while my mother went through several radiotherapy treatments. I stayed for 15 days so she could receive medical care, and the low price first caught my eye since we needed so many nights. I regretted booking it, but had already paid in advance, so I didn't switch. This isn't an inn. It's a house with guest rooms at the back, a bathroom, and a shared kitchen. Our room had a double bed and a bunk bed. The owner is a very strange man who stays shut inside the house at the front. We communicated only on WhatsApp, and he decided when we could put the car into or take it out of the garage. He did explain that when I arrived, so that part was clear. Near the end of our stay, a friend passing through town came by during the day for no more than 30 minutes to see how my mother was doing. The owner embarrassed me in front of him, saying he didn't accept that kind of thing. I told him his rules should be made clear, since there was no risk or problem. Maybe I could have understood if he'd spoken to me privately and politely. After that, with just a little time left, I avoided speaking to him and kept up with all my responsibilities as a guest. On Saturday 16/09, when our booking ended, I started getting ready to leave in the morning. As usual, he stayed inside and didn't come out for checkout. I picked up my bags and left around 7:30 a.m. because I had a five-hour drive home. About two hours into the drive, I got several voice messages accusing me of stealing his bath towel, which had been left behind the bathroom door. It was the only towel there, since I'd brought my own bed linens and towels. In more messages he called me unloved, arrogant, and other aggressive, disrespectful, senseless things. Anyone hosting guests should treat people with courtesy and respect, even if they had wronged him, which I hadn't. The whole experience was unpleasant. Sr Luís, learn to be kind, polite, and respectful to anyone who comes to your house. People are paying to stay there.
