Hotel Roochelle Convention by Nobile

Good hotel.

My husband and I were really disappointed. Our first room was on the third floor, with no windows and a closed glass door. We asked to move and were told there would only be another room the next day. That did happen, and Pedro at reception was very polite and helped sort it out. But after we left at 7:00 a.m. for the beach and got back at 3:00 p.m., tired and wanting a shower, the room still hadn't been cleaned. We complained again and waited. The bed was made carelessly, and the bathroom was just as dirty as we'd left it. It was unpleasant to be in a dirty room. The first day's towels also smelled like they hadn't dried properly. The hotel facilities are new, and the air conditioning worked perfectly.

The hotel is new, has great facilities, and is in a good location. The staff were courteous. At breakfast, though, several cups, plates, knives, and forks set out for guests were dirty or poorly washed. I could see the breakfast staff were very overloaded, but hygiene still matters.

I've stayed in lots of hotels as a travel agent, and the new building and excellent facilities made a good impression here. The setting is elegant, the single bed was comfortable, and the air conditioning worked well. Reception staff were pleasant, especially Pedro, who was very polite, and the man at the café entrance was nice too. The area has shops and just about everything close by, including a market, pharmacy, and gas station. The sweets at breakfast were delicious. Breakfast had some real problems during my five days. Basic items such as scrambled eggs took too long to be replenished, and one morning I spent half an hour there without any eggs appearing. The papaya and pineapple were extremely overripe every morning, which I consider a serious issue, and not healthy. The kitchen staff didn't even answer when I said good morning. The bathroom cleaning in my room was poor, and I had to complain to get it cleaned properly. I was on the 12th floor, where water kept pooling in the corner of the shower instead of draining. Staff came to clean for two days, but the water was still there until I complained again, after which it was fixed. The TV was called smart, but Netflix wouldn't work. It asked me to free up memory and update it.
