Pousada Japere

Really good, honestly no complaints.

We ordered from the menu at night, and everything was really good. Service was excellent, and it was well worth it. We were four people staying Saturday to Sunday in the family suite, and the rooms were beautiful, tidy, and cozy. The pousada is spacious, with a pool, game room, gym, sand court, and more. I’ll be back again.

There’s a lot to do at the pousada, including the pool, sand court, game room, gym, and sauna. Breakfast is great every day, and the restaurant is open until 9 p.m. daily. The service is excellent.

The calm atmosphere and the friendly cleaning, bar, and breakfast staff were the best parts for me. Everyone was helpful, and the inn as a whole was clean and well kept. I did get the extra chairs I asked for, which was appreciated. The chalet itself was a daily hassle. It sat high on a hill, making it hard to reach by car or on foot, and being so close to the neighboring chalet left little privacy. The twin-chalet setup didn’t feel like the individual, secluded stay I expected. The listing also said every unit had a hammock, but mine didn’t. I was frustrated by how the manager handled my request to switch chalets. At first I was told it couldn’t be done because other guests were arriving the next day, but they didn’t arrive until two days later. The reasons kept changing: first, those guests had specifically asked for that chalet, then I was told the room had already been set up with an extra bed. The unclear and inaccurate information made me feel my request wasn’t being taken seriously. The gym was disappointing too. The cardio machines weren’t working properly, and the sand court’s net needs maintenance. There’s no height adjustment for the net, which rules out several games.
