The Wi-Fi was unbelievably bad, even when I was the only one using it. They should just stop offering it if it's going to be like that. The place is old and dirty and needs repairs and proper cleaning. The shower curtain looks like it hasn't been changed in years, and the kitchen cabinet is almost falling apart. One day there was no toilet paper, and it wasn't replaced until the next day. There wasn't much of a welcoming atmosphere, and the owner doesn't speak English. A gym right across the street played loud music day and night, which made it hard to relax. There weren't many other guests either. They also have a dog that barks and isn't well behaved. It's kept on a leash all day, and it seemed like nobody really looked after it beyond checking in for a few minutes now and then. I can't understand how this hostel got such a high rating. Booking here was a big mistake for me. I'd recommend Casa Swell or Good Vibes Hostel instead.

I had a wonderful stay here. The welcoming feel and the team's kindness made a difference, and the place was comfortable, with such a relaxed, pleasant energy. I left with great memories of Fernando de Noronha and will definitely recommend this hostel to others. Thanks for all the hospitality. Wishing you lots of success!

The bunk bed came apart during the night, and a piece of the guardrail hit the floor and woke everyone up. The electric shower wasn't working, and the Wi-Fi in the room kept dropping. The shared kitchen and lounge, including the sofa and armchairs, are almost out on the street, so when it rains everything gets wet and there's nowhere to sit. I was also told not to use the kitchen from 12 to 1 pm because that was when the staff made their lunch. Even though guests were asked to wash their dishes and cutlery, staff left several dirty things in the sink, and I had to wash one item before using it. The welcome was poor. It seemed to be a mother and son receiving guests, and neither was courteous or hospitable. They barely looked at me and acted as if having guests was a favor. There's also a rule against using the air conditioning during the day, which makes no sense in a room with no window or fan. The nightly rate was high compared with other hostels, and they don't serve breakfast. During the night, a man who wasn't a guest walked around the hostel wearing only a towel. I knew he wasn't staying there because I was the only guest that day.

Bad vibe all around. People were rude and completely unwelcoming, always looking annoyed and treating me badly. It felt like they were doing me a favor by letting me stay. I've been traveling for 30 years and have left lots of positive reviews, but this is the first time I've had a problem with accommodation bad enough to write a negative one. If you're looking for a friendly atmosphere, go somewhere else.
