Pousada Fortaleza

The location was great, the place was very clean, and the breakfast was amazing. The team did their best to accommodate my special requests. A great stay.

Staying at Pousada Fortaleza was a frustrating experience that felt completely at odds with the magic of Fernando de Noronha. What should have been a place to rest became a test of patience. The owner seemed to ignore guests as a matter of course, with little regard for basic courtesy. That lack of care carried over into the service: I was refused a simple afternoon coffee, even when I offered to pay. It felt petty, especially since the neighboring inns showed the kind of hospitality missing here. The facilities were just as disappointing. The mattresses were misshapen, the air conditioning was far too noisy, and the bathrooms were tiny and had no ventilation. The Wi-Fi and Sky TV didn't work, despite the promise of connectivity and entertainment. There were exposed nails on the wooden deck that could cause an injury, and constant noises in the ceiling at night suggested rodents and raised serious hygiene concerns. This place didn't provide even a basic level of comfort or dignity, and left me regretting the money I spent.

The breakfast was wonderful, plentiful, and served with excellent attention. I especially want to mention the attentive service from Jéssica at reception, Franciele in the pantry, and Claudia, who cleaned the rooms. The whole team deserves congratulations. It's an excellent inn with a very warm welcome.
