GH Canal da Barra

The apartment was really comfortable, and Barra felt quiet and safe. Cida was wonderful, the breakfast was delicious, and everything was kept neat and clean. We were two blocks from the canal, two from the beach, and one from the main beach, so everything was nearby. If you’re coming without a car, there are buses, and Ubers are very cheap for getting around the island. For nightlife, Lagoa da Conceição is an 8-minute drive or Uber ride away, and there’s a bus too. Thanks, Cida! We’ll miss Jimmy (Cida’s dog), Valeria, and Rocco. I’d definitely stay here again if I return to Barra.

D. Cida was so friendly and helpful, and the place is very close to the beach. The rooms were simple, clean, and comfortable, just right for what we needed. There were five adults, and the two rooms fit us all really well. We also had a kitchen, fridge, and stove, though we didn’t need to use them. Too bad we only stayed one day.

A nice, clean place with good service and a friendly manager. Breakfast was tasty and generous, and the price was good too.

The garden was especially lovely for my 80-year-old mother. She enjoyed the beautiful plants and found it peaceful and relaxing there. Max sent us to this place, and his thoughtfulness toward my mother made a real difference. Cida was attentive and welcoming, and we felt at home in a comfortable space that was spotless. Breakfast was delicious, and the location was excellent for exploring the area. We had a wonderful stay and strongly recommend this cozy pousada to anyone looking for a peaceful, memorable visit. I’m sure the warm welcome will make you want to come back.
