Pequi hostel

Pequi Hostel feels like a friend's summer house, right in the heart of Lagoa da Conceição. The two sisters who own it are lovely and help with whatever you need, making it easy to feel comfortable and relaxed. I recommend it wholeheartedly :)

Great location, friendly staff, and a really nice vibe. I'd definitely recommend staying here. The rooms can get a bit hot, even at night with the AC running.

The people here are what make this hostel feel like home. The owners, volunteers, and other travelers were all so friendly. It's spacious, with plenty of common areas for relaxing or working, free rental bikes, and a well-equipped kitchen. Everything was always clean. It's on a quiet street away from the noise, but still within walking distance of a 24-hour supermarket and lots of cafés and restaurants. One of the best hostels I've stayed at during my year-long trip. Until next time xx

The mattress had holes I could feel through the sheets, and the bathroom and outdoor area didn’t seem clean. It was cold and rainy when I arrived, but the windows were wide open and the fan was blasting. I turned it down, then came back to find it running full force again, so I sat outside to get away from it. In the dorm, two volunteers were staying there too. One was playing music loudly, and their beds had curtains. When I asked about getting curtains for mine, I was told they were only for volunteers. The person who checked me in was lovely, but after about three hours I was cold and unhappy with the place. I asked if I could get a refund for the other two nights, since I understood I’d have to pay for that day. She checked and eventually said no. When I said it was cold, I was told I could pay for a blanket or go somewhere else without a refund. I decided to leave, and as I was packing, the girl who checked me in came over with a blanket. I’d read so many great reviews, so I was honestly disappointed. I’d recommend staying elsewhere if you want a good stay.
