Pousada Mirante Floripa

I liked the cozy feel of the inn, but getting around was exhausting since we were on foot. The beach distances didn’t match what’s described on social media. There’s no trail to Praia do Santinho at 500 meters, the nearest trail is at least twice that far, and the trail itself adds more distance to the beach. Praia dos Ingleses is nearly two kilometers away. Uber was also too expensive to be practical because of the traffic. Breakfast was disappointing too: two younger staff members seemed inexperienced and spent more time talking to each other than replenishing food or helping guests.

We stayed in the Mirante apartment, and the best part was the 300-meter walk down to the beach. Santinho is the best beach around, though it’s a bit far from the town center. The inn has a lovely atmosphere, with surfer-style decor in every room and common area. Max, his wife Isadora, and the staff gave us incredible service. Breakfast is basic but tasty, a nice start to the day, and the people serving it were fantastic and attentive. The pool is small but really nice. My family and I highly recommend the place for its service, comfort, and location. We’ll definitely be back.

Santinhos beach is beautiful and very close, and the breakfast was really good, with plenty of variety and the option to go back for seconds. My first visit to Brazil was spectacular, and the place and whole experience were beautiful. Max and all the staff were always so welcoming and kind. I’d recommend it all 100%, and I definitely want to return.

They canceled our reservation the day before check-in, saying someone else had booked the room earlier through Booking. It was the hotel’s own disorganization. We’d already paid, and they offered a replacement room that was inferior and didn’t suit us. They showed no real willingness or initiative to fix the situation. Completely irresponsible. Zero rating.
