Sunset Strip Eco Hostel

I was sad to leave Barra L. because the people were so kind and the place has a lovely, family feel. At first, during our holiday visit to the Sunset Strip about a month ago, I wasn’t impressed, especially with all the cold, rainy weather. But after getting to know the place and meeting locals, I fell for its special character. It ended up being my favorite memory from the trip. :)

The staff are amazing, and it’s a really nice, peaceful place to stay. Even though Carnival was close by, across the bridge, we slept very well. There’s a small beach just a few steps away; to reach the other one, you have to cross the blue bridge. The only problem was my bedroom got too hot, so I couldn’t sleep well. I think they should add more fans, since other people were complaining about the heat too.

My room at Sunset Strip Eco Hostel had an amazing view of Barrinha, Barra and Moçambique beaches, and the breakfast room also looks out onto a great view. The location is really good, the service was very good, and the hostel is friendly with comfortable rooms. It’s close to the Boa Vista trail, which I’d recommend to anyone who enjoys nature and adventure. A good place for an overnight stop or a longer stay.

The hosts were kind and helpful, and there’s a great view from the upper breakfast balcony. The location is perfect, though you have to walk a few hundred meters, so don’t bring too much luggage. That also means there are no cars.
