Matisse Motel

My partner and I planned to stay longer than the first two hours, but the employee made that impossible. As soon as the time was up, she kept banging on the door to tell us our two hours had ended, even though we were in the middle of sex. We stopped and told her we wanted to stay longer. She didn’t reply, and when I tried calling reception from the room, I found the phone didn’t work. It was just there for show. About five minutes later, she came back and started banging again, urgently saying the two hours were up. We opened the little door and told her again that we were staying. She said we had to pay right away before she could confirm it. I don’t know if they think guests will leave without paying, even though you normally pay when you leave for what you’ve used, or if they think sex only lasts 15 minutes. There was another embarrassing moment when we arrived. The daytime receptionist didn’t hide her discrimination after seeing we were two women, and even asked us to roll down the back windows. We’d stayed overnight there twice before without that happening. If we’d been treated this way during an earlier overnight stay, I wouldn’t have come back. This isn’t a cheap motel, and privacy is the least they should provide.
