The breakfast was good and tasty. We got up very early and always found everything ready, though I can't say how often things were replenished. Tiago, the employee, was very attentive and polite, but I don't think he had the authority to fix anything. We stayed four nights, from March 16 to 20, 2023. The TV had blown-out sound whenever we turned it up, so it was impossible to watch. I asked about another room, but none was available, and I kept bringing up the issue. On Sunday, the day before we left, I was finally told the TV was faulty and needed a sound component replaced. Since the listing included a TV, I asked for a discount, but they refused. It felt like a disregard for the customer. The photos showed nice-looking white towels, but there were none in the room when we arrived. When I asked, the employee gave me two very old, heavily used ones. The bed linens also looked worn, with stained sheets and several repairs. We had the same towels for all four days, and neither towels nor sheets were changed. The shower was either extremely hot when switched on or too cold when we turned it off. I know cooler water can be nice in beach weather, but this was too cold. The room and the guesthouse's indoor areas smelled of cat pee, and we could hear cats at night. There seemed to be cats around, but they shouldn't be able to get inside.

I booked through Booking, but the place didn't match what was shown on the site. The door wouldn't close properly, and a piece of EVA foam had been put over gaps in it. The listing said flat-screen TV, but it was a 14-inch tube set that didn't even work. The towels looked dirty, and the bathroom was beyond comment. When we raised this with the owner, he was extremely curt and rude. I know it's a guesthouse, not a hotel, but that doesn't excuse the poor treatment and embarrassment I went through. After a lot of arguing, we managed to cancel the stay and paid for the one day we had been there. The owner needs to be more willing to listen. I have an anxiety disorder, and the whole situation was very difficult for me.

If you don't mind simple, inexpensive lodging, you may like this place. It's very clean, and the staff are attentive and helpful. Isaías especially went out of his way for us, even showing us the city on a map and suggesting places to visit. The only issue I noticed was a slight bad smell from the bathroom. It wasn't dirty, so I think it may have been something with the plumbing. Otherwise, everything was great. Breakfast was simple but had all the things I like 😅. It's very close to the beach, which surprised me. We arrived late at night, went out for dinner, and everything worked out 🙏.

The rooms have air conditioning, Wi-Fi, a minibar, and a smart TV. Breakfast was varied, tasty, and plentiful, and the location made it easy to get around on foot. The staff were extremely kind and attentive, doing their best to make us comfortable.
