I never got to stay here. I’d booked a room well ahead of time, then the host suddenly messaged on the day of my booking saying they were “going innovation.” They didn’t cancel the reservation themselves or answer my questions, so I had to cancel it. Then this morning I was looking for a room in foz do iguazu and saw that this place was operating. I can only guess what happened: when I booked, the room was listed very cheaply. Now prices are rising, and I suspect the host made up a reason to get me to cancel so they could offer it to someone else for more.

For an excellent price, I got a comfortable bed with a nearby outlet, plus soap, a towel, shampoo, Wi-Fi, air conditioning, and TV.

A budget hotel that seems to mean well.

It was okay.

The staff were kind, gave us filtered water, and offered useful tips for visiting Iguazu falls. The bus station is very close, which was handy, though the lack of pavements is something to watch out for. There aren’t any good restaurants within walking distance, so you’ll need a taxi. The bedroom was basic and cramped, with a tiny en-suite toilet. It smelled musty, and when I arrived I had to sweep under the beds myself. The staff didn’t offer to do that.
