10/10
The castle sits on the mountainside, with a lovely view over the area, and it’s an easy walk to local restaurants and entertainment. We especially liked wandering through the grounds, with their beautiful gardens, flowers, and trees. The Romeo and Juliette balcony and its wall of lovers’ locks were a favorite; couples can add a lock with their names to the wall. We stayed in the honeymoon suite with the romance package, and it made for a magical, romantic visit. The room was comfortable, charming, and elegant, and the staff were friendly, professional, and accommodating. Breakfast had plenty of tasty choices, including lactose-free options for people with dietary needs like mine. There’s also a heated indoor pool for swimming when it’s cold outside. It’s a romantic getaway with a family-friendly atmosphere, and we left with a memorable experience. I’d recommend Castelo Boutique Hotel to anyone visiting the area.

Our room was lovely, and the staff took great care of us. It felt like a beautiful oasis in an otherwise rather industrial city. We had a wonderful experience and would highly recommend it.
