The place feels dated, and the value for money is really poor. On our first day the air conditioning wasn't working, the mosquito nets didn't fully cover the bed, and the Wi-Fi signal or bandwidth was very weak. For better value, with more restaurant and bar options, you could try "Brazil adventure" or "Brisos do mar".

We loved the ocean views, the poolside bar, and the fresh fruit at breakfast, which had plenty of healthy choices. The rooms are basic but spacious and comfortable, and the staff were friendly and helped arrange tours and call the "uber jegues," the chariots that work like cabs on the sandy streets where cars aren't much use. The restaurant food was decent, with limited options, but the prices were fair and it was convenient.

The view is nice, but I couldn't enjoy my two days here because the room smelled strongly of artificial perfume. I think whatever they use to clean the sheets gave me a terrible migraine. I wanted to check out early because the headache made me feel so sick.

The pousada is beautiful and a great base for enjoying the beach, nature, and people of Galinhos. I definitely recommend staying here.
