Richard was incredibly kind and always ready with tips on places to visit. We’re grateful for how well he looked after us during our stay. The pousada has a peaceful, cozy feel, and every little corner has its own character. What a lovely place.

We spent New Year’s here with my girlfriend, and I’d happily recommend it. The setting is peaceful and surrounded by nature, with the mountain calm on one side and some of the region’s most beautiful beaches just a few minutes away by car. Richard, the owner, is a special person and a wonderful host who makes you feel at home. We’ll be back soon.

A disastrous stay, and the advertising was extremely misleading. We arrived and immediately said we couldn’t stay. There were three adults and a nine-year-old child, and none of us felt comfortable there. The photos were nothing like the place. I asked to use the bathroom and the owner told me to take my shoes off. We had to find somewhere else urgently, on February 16, 2018, when everything was full. His place was the only one with just a Fiat Uno Mille parked there, which says a lot. Thank God we found a good place at figgi. What a relief, but it was a stressful ordeal. Consider this a warning. The access was awful: a seemingly endless climb up a very narrow road, unpaved and full of rocks and potholes. I worried the car might be damaged. By what felt like a miracle, we got out of that eerie place in a hurry. If it rained, we feared we might not get out at all, not even with a tow truck. The worst part was that the owner kept half the reservation payment. We’d booked through Booking and had to leave, but he didn’t refund the half we’d already paid. How can Booking advertise a place like that?

It was great, a peaceful place with a spiritual calm. It’s above average for anyone who likes adventure and places unlike regular hotels. The breakfast was simple but really tasty, and Richar’s welcome was very warm.
