Pousada Caminho do Mar

The location is good, and breakfast was nice, but the stay left us feeling like we were a nuisance. We were there in September and were the only guests. The owners weren’t very welcoming, our room wasn’t cleaned daily, and the pool was quite dirty. When we had a question or asked for anything extra, it didn’t seem well received, and there wasn’t much willingness to help. At night, nearly all the outdoor and indoor lights were off, while one of the owners played online games or watched football on a computer. We won’t return, as the experience wasn’t great.

We were sad to leave feeling unwanted, especially since we were there with our children and had liked the place so much for its proximity to the beach. On our earlier stay, Rodrigo welcomed us so warmly, but this time someone else was in charge and it didn’t feel the same. The pool was dirty, breakfast was disappointing, and our room wasn’t cleaned. The two stays were completely different. Such a shame.

We stayed in early December 2024 and had a great time. The owners were very attentive, and breakfast was excellent, better than we expected. The location is fantastic, practically right on the sand and close to restaurants and local shops. Our room was simple but clean and well equipped, including a fridge and air conditioning.

The inn sits right by Ferrugem beach and is in a great location. It’s a wonderful place overall. The only thing to improve is the cleaning: the towels and bedding were fine, but the floor in our room was a little dirty. Nothing too serious.
