Master Gramado Hotel

The location feels central while still being green, and the reception and concierge teams were very helpful. I stayed six nights for an academic symposium, and the hotel suited it well. My fourth-floor room was spacious and comfortable, with a cozy armchair and a table with two cushioned work chairs. The wide veranda had a table and two wicker-style chairs, and the view of green forest and mountains was beautiful. Breakfast was generous and good, though the filter coffee tasted tired. The shower temperature was hard to manage, either too hot or cold, and I had to adjust the hot tap very slightly to get it reasonable. The WiFi was so weak I couldn't use it, so I switched to 4G through my Brazilian provider Claro, which had a strong signal. The room phone wiring was faulty. Adjusting it got a line, but reception on 0 didn't answer, nor did governance services on 1800. I had to scan a QR code to find those numbers, as there was no printed information. There were also no glasses for having a coke from the well-stocked frigobar. At checkout, the reception staff member remembered that I'd asked days earlier for the elevator doors not to close so quickly, so I could enter after letting others out. They reassured me maintenance staff had taken it up. Full marks for remembering.
