We booked on Booking.com for a room with two double beds and a sofa, but the room we received was missing the second bed. They also tried to charge us for breakfast even though it was part of our booking. They eventually gave it to us for free to be nice, but it was included already, and they never admitted they’d made a mistake. The breakfast food was all stale, several days old, and the worst we had on our trip. They blamed both problems on our room being booked from an investor rather than the hotel itself. That’s not our problem. They should sort that out internally.

The rooms are spacious, but there wasn’t much else to like. They’re old, and the thin windows and walls let in traffic noise. We were woken at 6:30 am by cars outside. The gym doesn’t open until 9, while breakfast ends at 10, which makes little sense. At 7:15 am I went to the lobby in workout clothes to ask where the gym was. They gave me directions but didn’t mention it wouldn’t open until 9. The internet was unreliable too.

Our room was on the ground floor beside the road, and vehicle noise made it impossible to open the window. Higher floors might have a better view. The staff were welcoming and helpful.

We didn’t get the room we paid for, and they said it was because the hotel belonged to investors. Breakfast was made up of old food from previous days. The staff were very friendly and attentive, though.

The room fell a little short of what we expected, though the place and accommodations were nice.
