8/10
The breakfast buffet had a nice mix of sweet and savory dishes, fresh fruit, good coffee, and scrambled eggs made to order by a friendly chef. The staff don’t speak English, but Google Translate and gestures worked fine. It’s centrally located near Mini Mundo. The room and bathroom were simple but clean, with a fan. The bed was a little firm, though comfortable. I booked at the last minute for one night at £25 including breakfast, which was great value.

The location of the Pousada (hostel) is nice, and that’s the only good thing. The walls are made of weak material, so any noise you make disturbs the room next door. The owners were the worst and showed no sympathy toward us. I don’t recommend it.

It’s an affordable choice in expensive Gramado. It isn’t the fanciest hostel, but the buffet breakfast is nice.

A good place to stay, close to downtown and lots of great restaurants.
