Solar do Centro

The location is the real highlight, just one block from Rua Coberta. The room is spacious and has a microwave, minibar, and a tube TV with Sky. It was quiet, with a great shower and good beds, though they're two single beds pushed together. We really enjoyed it and recommend it, especially for couples with young kids or newlyweds. It would've been perfect with its own parking and breakfast, but neither was really necessary. Everything else was great, and those would've just been nice extras.

I didn't like it, though I'm glad others had a good stay. The service was awful, and the value for money just didn't make sense. They advertised two double beds, but there wasn't a single double bed, just two single beds with bases and two without. There is no private parking either, only parking for the office on the ground floor. It felt like a real disregard for guests who travel a long way to stay in Gramado. At 250 reais a night, you can get a hotel with full room service and breakfast for only a little more, and your room will always be clean. I guess you can't please everyone, not even Jesus Christ.

For a short stay in Gramado, especially if you're in town for an event like we were, this is a great value option. We had a lovely experience: the place was clean, the rooms met our needs, and the location was excellent. Seu Arno welcomed us and was so kind and gentle. We'll be back!
