Really nice.

That river behind the property is a real highlight, and you really should take a dip. The pool is lovely too, and I found the hammocks comfortable. It’s a peaceful, rustic setting. This inn has become one of my family’s favorites. We stayed during Carnival and again for New Year’s, and I hope to return more often. The staff are helpful, and the owners are always around and involved in the day-to-day work. The claims that they’re rude don’t match my experience. They were especially considerate of my 91-year-old father-in-law, who has lost some of his mobility. They gave us a ground-floor room with an access ramp, and the garden helped him relax, read, and rest in a hammock surrounded by nature. The packages are good value, and day use is another reasonable option. I also have a few suggestions as a returning guest. Accessibility could be improved inside the rooms with grab bars and nonslip mats. Breakfast has a nice selection of juices and breads, but there should be more diet-friendly choices, both in the morning and at other meals. My father-in-law has diabetes, and more vegetarian options would also be welcome, though the omelet is very good. The grounds are great, but some things need maintenance. The pool table, for example, had only one cue. The rooms don’t smell moldy, but the beds, mattresses, pillows, locks, and air conditioners could use updating. I noticed some rooms already have split units. It may be something guests have asked for, mostly because remote controls are more convenient. Newer units would also use less energy. The old main house was built in a time when rooms didn’t need so many outlets, so bring adapters and an extension cord. Thanks for everything.
