We especially liked the grounds at Pousada das Orquídeas 20. They’re attractive and well kept, with a lawn, trees, and plants all around. There’s a hammock area, a TV room with checkers, UNO, and dominoes, a pool table, a flipper toy upstairs, and a ping-pong table by the entrance. Guests can also use the gym and pool, see the little koi pond, and find a wooden play structure with a slide and swing plus a small trampoline. It’s well suited to families. There’s a gate leading to a clear-water stream for guests to enjoy too. Our room was clean, comfortable, and pleasant. It had a double bed and a single bed, good-quality mattresses and pillows, and fresh, well-kept bed and bath linens. The minibar, TV, and split air conditioner all worked perfectly. Parking is inside the property, and the remote given to guests makes it convenient and secure. The free Wi-Fi worked well throughout our stay. Breakfast was tasty and generous: breads, cheese, ham, two homemade cakes, a savory homemade pie, fruit, jam, butter, yogurt, fresh orange juice, and eggs cooked to order. On the days we were there, they also served French toast and pastries, a lovely extra. Mery welcomed us when we arrived, patiently showed us to the room, and took the time to show us around the inn. She was very kind and gave us a great first impression. The location is easy to reach and close to Praça do Papai Noel, where the Fantástico Natal de Guapimirim takes place in December. That event has free attractions including ice skating, a zip line, Santa’s house, a carousel, a toboggan-style slide, and a little train. For the zip line, you need to fill out the authorization form at the booth in the event’s food court. The event runs Tuesday through Sunday, from 7 to 11 p.m. Pousada das Orquídeas 20 is welcoming and well equipped, with things to do as a family as well as room to relax. We recommend it and will definitely return! 🌸✨

The spaces here are roomy, pleasant, and very well cared for. We spent four absolutely flawless days enjoying the comfortable lodging, game room, lounge with a fireplace, hammock area, and delicious pool area. The hosts as a couple and the waterfall alone would have made the stay a success. Guests can enjoy it at any time of day. The staff were attentive and welcoming too, especially Patrícia, who made delicious, home-style food. And the Wi-Fi is first-rate! For some peace, relaxation, and a chance to recharge, book a stay at POUSADA DAS ORQUÍDEAS, even if you can’t stay long. It feels very family-friendly, and every cent spent came back as satisfaction and wanting to return for more. APPAI rules make it hard to stay more often during the year, but until then we’ll enjoy it whenever we can. I think I’ve made my view clear, but to borrow the official LIESA announcer calling a Carnival score in RJ: POUSADA DAS ORQUÍDEAS gets a ten, a perfect ten, for “everything all at once”!
