It's okay.
I was uneasy about spending the night there, so I wanted to leave a review, especially for women traveling alone. I was 21, a student, and needed just one night's stay before photographing at Parque do Lago in Guarapuava/PR. Maybe it was because of the pandemic, but the place felt empty and abandoned. The price was genuinely good, 80 reais for a night, which is hard to find at a hotel in the city center. The breakfast gets the two stars: there weren't many choices, but it was clean, nicely prepared, and tasty. The room itself was in a dreadful state. There was mold everywhere, damp damage on the walls, and a pink stain on the bedspread. The bathroom was falling apart, and the shower had so many stains I worried dirty water would come out. There was no soap, towel, shampoo, conditioner, hair dryer, or anything else. The minibar didn't work and was yellowed and broken inside. The microwave was broken too. There was no phone to call reception, so I don't know why the numbers were on the bedside table. That table was so dusty that lifting the menu left its mark. Women on their own, don't put yourselves through this. Spend a little more for somewhere in better condition.
The bedding and breakfast service were great, but I won't stay at this hotel in Guarapuava again. For R$140,00 a night, I got a room that felt completely abandoned. Nothing about it was comfortable or welcoming; it felt more like a dorm room, with total neglect toward the guest. The window had rusty points and no curtain to soften the room or cover the metal. The fan was a cheap market type and missing its front grille. The bathroom was disgusting: the plastic shower enclosure was badly stained and chipped, the old floor was filthy and shedding rough edges, and pipe ends were exposed. The toilet seat was as cheap as possible and split down the middle, making it impossible to clean properly. This isn't an exaggeration.
Andreia and Tainá were very attentive, from the phone call through checkout. The owners deserve congratulations for the care they show guests. My room had features from 1980s construction, all kept in impeccable condition, both the building and the cleanliness. The price is very fair, especially if you're in Guarapuava for work. It also suits a leisure visit, with places nearby such as the Superpão market, which has a food court with live music.
