Hotel Resort & Golfe Clube dos 500

The food was delicious, and for 1,300 reals with full board, I have no complaints about what we got for the price. It's a beautiful golf resort, though I don't know why so few people stay there. With so few clients, the rooms have become outdated, but we still enjoyed our stay.

This is by far our favorite hotel, and one of the few with its own private golf course. The nine-hole course is right next to the rooms and enclosed. The first hole is about 400 yards from your room, though you can also begin at the ninth and play through to the end and back to the house. One hole goes over a huge lake, with another beside it. There are clay courts, a large swimming pool, bocha, a farm for kids, and a condo area where you can walk or exercise. More big lakes offer a place to relax and enjoy some quiet, though the Dutra, one of our busiest highways, runs right by. Some holes are close to the highway, and there's a nearby kart track. The hills and waterfalls are along the road across to the coast via Cunha-Parati. The club sits roughly between Rio and SP. The valley gets tremendously hot in summer, even hotter than Rio, so definitely avoid coming then. We had a good stay!

I stayed overnight for a wedding. The place itself is beautiful, and the staff were kind and professional. The buildings are old, though, and some urgently need attention. You can see mold on the walls.

The room has just one outlet, and the decor is dated. Still, the location and views are great. I rode a bicycle around the property and enjoyed both the ride and the exercise.
