Caminho do Mar Hotel

The bed linen had an unpleasant smell. There was no room service on the day I stayed, and neither the sheets nor the towels were changed.

We stayed in a room for seven, and it was clean and well organized. It had a TV, Wi-Fi, and air conditioning. Breakfast and dinner were both delicious, and the staff were attentive. The hotel is in a great spot, two blocks from the beach and near both a market and the shopping mall.

Breakfast was really good, and the staff were very polite. The rooms are small.

The staff were courteous and kind, and the hotel is well placed, just one block from the beach. But the problems with the facilities were numerous, and I couldn't see myself coming back. Our room was tiny, and the bathroom even smaller. Getting into the shower meant literally stepping over the toilet. There were also steps between the room and bathroom, plus stairs around the hotel, which has no elevator. We found mold on the mattress and stains on the bedding that made it look dirty. Guests have to share the hotel's one hair dryer and one iron. Room service only happens if you ask at reception. Wi-Fi didn't work any day in our room, and other guests said their TVs wouldn't tune in. The hotel's essential facilities need urgent improvement.
