Best pousada in Holambra. We had an excellent stay!

Great!

For the price, I expected better breakfast choices. There weren’t even placemats on the tables, so we ate straight off the table and had to put napkins under our cutlery. The bathroom door also hits the toilet and won’t close, which is ridiculous. The staff are polite, but they talk far too loudly. At breakfast they discussed their personal lives at a volume everyone could hear, and at reception they kept chatting and shouting without much awareness of the guests. The place could be better for what it costs.

The biggest problem was the staff noise and the way things were managed. Our room was near reception, and early in the morning I thought a big group of guests was talking loudly. It turned out to be the employees, shouting to each other about a bucket and calling people across the area. The same loud, inconsiderate behavior carried on during breakfast. At 11, before the noon checkout, I went to shower and the water was completely cold. When we called the manager, she said something like, “Usually the guests have already left by then.” My husband and I were still there, and other people were leaving around the same time. They do make sure payment is taken in advance at check-in, though. The room itself was simple and clean, but the bathroom layout was poorly thought out: the toilet is right beside the shower stall, and I kept banging my elbow. For R$309 a night, I expected a little more comfort, such as a robe, which is common at places in this price range. Breakfast was basic but okay, with French and sliced bread, banana, papaya, watermelon, cold cuts, yogurt, coffee, and packaged juice. The inn has a pleasant look and an acceptable structure, but the noise, unprepared staff, and poor management spoiled the experience. Some basic training and consideration would have made a difference.

The staff made us feel right at home, with a warm, welcoming manner. Our room was modern, cozy, and well cared for, with strong air conditioning, a TV, good internet, and a lovely shower. Breakfast was excellent, varied, tasty, and thoughtfully prepared. I especially liked the Nescafé machine with several choices. Pousada Oca is also in a great spot in the heart of floral, charming Holambra, with a peaceful little lake and nearby restaurants for lunch or dinner within easy walking distance. The area felt very safe and accessible, and there’s an elevator too. A comfortable, charming place to stay.
