The Instagram pictures promise a great setup, but what we found was completely different, and the price didn’t feel fair for what was there. I know a campsite won’t have five-star facilities, but that doesn’t excuse how neglected the shared areas were. The bathrooms were grim, with clogged pipes and sinks, and the shower area smelled like sewage. Nothing seemed to get cleaned regularly. The kitchen was in terrible shape too. The stove didn’t work, things were broken, and everything was very dirty. Even the refrigerator smelled awful and had rotten food in it. The place is presented as if it has wonderful facilities, but it really doesn’t. We weren’t staying for free, yet the treatment and conditions didn’t match what we paid. If they can’t maintain the place, they shouldn’t keep offering it like this. Be careful, you’re likely to be disappointed. The whole setup was detestable.

The location is good, but this was the worst trip experience I’ve ever had. I’d never camped before and expected some discomfort, so we booked the “chalé canadense” to make things easier. Seeing it from outside was alarming: there was debris piled around it, and the sides were open. I spent the whole night afraid an insect would get in. When it rained, we had to improvise to keep the mattress dry. Reception had made a point of saying they don’t help after 8 p.m. When I asked what we should do in a middle-of-the-night emergency, they said it had never happened. The fan they provided was so dusty we had to take it apart and clean it just to get some air. The cabin had no generator, and the power went out twice, leaving me hot and with a dead phone. I know it’s a campsite, but I paid for the cabin and expected basics like a light, an outlet, and a fan. The shared facilities were awful. There was a sewage smell near the tents, old and dirty kitchen equipment, and a dirty, old fridge. The pans were rotten and broken, and our food fell onto the stove because its handle was loose. Water sprayed in every direction from the shower, and the sinks were clogged. We ended up washing at a freshwater spout on the beach and left rather than use that bathroom.

Simply awful. The Instagram photos don’t match the actual place. The kitchen roof and sink both leaked, so it was flooded all the time, and the pans were filthy and extremely old. The women’s bathroom had no sinks because of a lack of maintenance. I won’t be coming back. I’ve never seen a campsite this bad.

The location is good, but the campsite itself has very few trees, so the tents bake in the sun. The kitchen was barely usable: just three glass cups for the whole site, only three working burners, one overstuffed fridge, a filthy floor, and when it rained, more water came in than stayed outside. The bathroom was dark, the showers were shared, and the sinks were clogged.
