Gosto and Jose are super friendly and made the experience much better. The downside is how cramped it feels for the price, with too many people sharing the space, including the kitchen and breakfast area.

The rooms were clean and just as described, and I'd stay here again if I ever came back to the island. The owner was friendly and ready to help with anything. I had a great time at the hostel.

Jose, the manager, was always ready to help and make the stay comfortable. It's a clean hostel with a kitchen for cooking and a shared space to relax and meet fellow travelers. The quieter part of the island is where it's located, but shops and restaurants are still an easy walk away. I wish I could've stayed longer, but my travel schedule was tight.

The owner was very nice, but I wouldn't recommend staying here. I paid 300 reals for one night over Easter weekend, and it felt like a total ripoff. The facilities are basic, the bathroom had no hot water, and the rooms are packed with beds, some stacked three high. Hollandes hostel up the road is so much better at the same price on normal days.

The hostel was well kept, and the other guests were friendly and there to have a good time. I arrived in high season without realizing it and had trouble finding an affordable bed. Jose, the boss, found me one at a good price and was incredibly accommodating. He speaks several languages, jokes around with people, and helps anyone who needs it. I'd recommend it 👍🏼
