We spent two nights in a first-floor room and two upstairs, and both were very comfortable. The upper room had a wonderful view. The location also kept out the beach sounds and music. The hotel crew were super friendly and attentive, making our stay comfortable and joyful. Excellent experience!

Getting up the steep hill with luggage was tough when we arrived, as help with the bags wasn’t available at first. When we left, though, the staff arranged for someone from the village to carry them, which made departure easy. The team were friendly and went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and comfortable. Hotel Pousada Aquarela is beautiful, with clean, modest, charming rooms. It’s an underrated gem and deserves more recognition. Highly recommended.

Hellen and Paula made our island trip even better with their enthusiasm and great tips. Their local knowledge and energy made us feel right at home. We had the absolute best time, and this pousada was a big part of it. We couldn’t have asked for more, and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the island.

We stayed five nights and loved the little garden balcony. The rooms were comfortable, we slept peacefully, the food was good, and staff always answered our questions. The service and location were great, and the breakfasts were both yummy and healthy. The owner, Sebastian, was especially kind. Highly recommend Aquarela do Mar.

Helen gave us amazing recommendations, and the hospitality was so warm. The inn is clean, cozy, and very well maintained. Breakfast was excellent, and the juices are a must. Can’t wait to return, Obrigado! ❤️
