Ilha Tropical Suítes

This was the worst inn stay I've ever had. Here are the problems with the property: Before check-in, they messaged asking me to pay the full stay upfront. That wasn't stated in the listing, and they sent a random payment link. Paying by credit card also meant a R$20 fee. I said I wasn't comfortable with that given how many frauds happen every day, so they let me pay half before arrival and half afterward, but then wanted to charge the card transaction fee four times, twice for each of the two rooms I rented. I agreed only after they confirmed the fee would be charged just twice. When we arrived, I saw the inn is on a one-way street used by traffic going to the ferry, with lots of trucks, cars, motorcycles, and other vehicles. The rooms are near the road, so you hear everything from inside. I had one room near the street and another at the back. The bedding in both rooms was dirty and stained. The bedding fee was mandatory even if you chose to bring your own. Edit: we didn't bring this up again because we'd already reported the bathroom leak and blockage and hadn't received a response or any action. The toilet was leaking and clogged when we arrived, before anyone had used it. I asked for a repair, and although they said it had been done, the toilet was still blocked. If I hadn't rented a second room, would I have had no usable bathroom for our four-day stay? The leak also wasn't fixed. I followed up a second time and was told someone would come in two days, but nobody came. Meanwhile, despite the island's water supply problems, they make a point of sending notices about them throughout the property. At night, the neighbors were doing laundry and singing in the early hours. Even with earplugs, I couldn't sleep. Staff also entered my room and my mother's room without asking first. They didn't tell me when they'd be coming in, and only informed me after they had entered the suite. Anyone with questions can check the WhatsApp conversation with Maria.
