Pousada Recanto dos Araçás

The place is really beautiful and super safe, and everything was spotless. The owner is very friendly, the service was great, and breakfast was delicious. We’ll definitely come back and stay longer. They deserve congratulations 👏👏

I love staying at this pousada and really recommend it. There are only a few rooms, though, so you need to book well in advance. If you don't know the area, there's no signage in town to guide you, and the dirt road is in poor condition. The city government doesn't seem very interested in fixing that, even though it collects revenue from properties in the area.

The breakfast was incredible. I was impressed that they had lactose-free options and even accommodated my request for coffee without sugar. The pousada itself is great and the rooms were okay. The welcome was a little confusing because the new attendant didn't seem to have much information, but we quickly got our questions answered by another attendant who was very helpful.

The place itself is beautiful and cozy, but the reception was very poorly organized and they didn't know how to deal with guests. We were welcomed very badly, and what had been arranged wasn't what happened. At 10 p.m. the owner insisted we go into our rooms and wouldn't let us come and go from the pousada as we wanted. The pool is open to the public, not just guests.
