A really cozy pousada, clean and well organized. The owner, Peter, was very friendly. A great place for families.

The peaceful green setting is the first thing I’d mention. The inn is also close to a small market and the village of Imbassaí, and breakfast is generous and very good. Our apartment had a fridge, cable TV, air conditioning, and a great veranda with a hammock, little table, and benches. Peter was a friendly, attentive host. I’d recommend it.

The building looks lovely, but our stay was a mess. We paid a very high rate, apparently because it was Carnival, which is a choice, but the service we expected simply wasn’t there. We’d seen breakfast advertised before paying, yet only after traveling from our city and arriving at reception were we told it wouldn’t be served. Why couldn’t they have told us beforehand? There wasn’t even water in the minibar, and nobody offered room service during our two days or asked if we wanted it. The single beds kept sliding apart because they were uneven; I had to push one against the wall to try to keep them together. Water went out at night and was still off the next afternoon when we left, so we couldn’t shower and brushed our teeth with bottled water we’d bought. No one explained the outage. There was no TV in the room, despite instructions about using one, and the Wi-Fi password written there was out of date. We weren’t given the current password either. It wasn’t free, and the high price came with no real quality or service.

It’s a quiet place to unwind, with a lovely pool where it was usually just one couple at a time. The inn has four rooms and doesn’t take couples with children, which helps keep things peaceful. Our room was spacious, very clean, and had a balcony. Breakfast was delicious, with homemade bread and jams, fruit, and cakes. The owners were welcoming and helpful.
