We reserved the house on Airbnb four months ahead, when its listed location was two blocks from the beach. Once the cancellation refund period had ended, the owner contacted us on that very day to say the address had been changed. He took no responsibility for our complaint or for failing to tell us about the move. The way it was handled was very poor. Thankfully, Airbnb support stepped in and sorted it out.

DON’T RENT!!! I had a really bad experience renting a house here. At first they promise one thing, but after you pay and arrive, it turns out to be completely different. Once they had the money and we were staying there, they became extremely rude. Things promised when we closed the rental were denied while we were there, and the staff member was very impolite. We rented what was supposed to be the best house in this “condominium,” only to find an unbearable mold smell. The first rain showed why: the house had leaks and water coming in. People who rented the house next door woke up to their belongings floating in the bedroom. Staying here was awful. I’ve been to Praia do Rosa several times, and I can tell you this place doesn’t fit the vibe there. I’m writing this because I felt deceived, and I don’t think this should happen to anyone else. Apparently, they’ve been doing this for years.

We had a horrible stay. We rented a house for the end of the year, then when we arrived, we were told we needed wristbands to enter and that nobody without one could come in. That had never been agreed beforehand. We were also treated like “criminals,” with our cars searched at the entrance every time we arrived. The house smelled bad, and so did the shower water. I wouldn’t recommend it unless you’re looking to cut yourself off from the world.
