Pousada Pedra Grande

Waking up to the ocean view was magical, easily the highlight of our stay at Pedra Grande. We found the room charming and well equipped, the bed was incredibly comfortable, and everyone working there was very friendly. One of our best experiences in Praia do Rosa. I'd recommend visiting this little hidden paradise in Rosa.

The breakfast was our biggest disappointment. We ordered it for a birthday, but what arrived was from somewhere else and had different items from the pousada's offer. There was no cake, yogurt, granola, cheese, ham, or bread from the advertised selection, and R$180 for three people didn't feel worth it. Delivery was first set for 8, then pushed to 9, which threw off our plans. I'd skip it and order myself or get breakfast nearby. The rest of the stay was great, and the daily rate seemed good for the area, especially given the location. The pousada is at the end of the street, close to the center, with direct views of Lagoa do Meio and the beach. The sunrise is spectacular, visible from the balcony or even from bed through the wall of front windows. The trail through the woods around the lagoon takes about 10 minutes to reach the beach and has around 50 steps, so it may not suit people with limited mobility. The road climbs and descends steeply along the mountain, and it's narrow. Parking can be tight when full, though manageable if you're comfortable maneuvering. We stayed in room 2. The people we dealt with were friendly, and the room had a full kitchen with a mini fridge, stove, and basic utensils, enough for simple meals. The bed and sofa bed were comfortable, and the shower had good pressure. We had booked a room with air conditioning but were put in one without it. That wasn't an issue in the cool, breezy weather, though the bedroom fan didn't run properly and the living room fan didn't work, so we were lucky it didn't get hot. One tip: look up the right time to catch the sunrise. It's definitely the highlight!

The views at Pousada Pedra Grande were spectacular, and being close to both the beach and town center made the trip even better. Everyone there was warm and attentive, and you could tell they cared about the little details. I'm grateful I got to share such a special stay here. I'd definitely like to come back.

Nicolas looked after us so well, he was attentive and lovely the whole time. We also loved the peaceful setting, full of nature, with an incredible view. The trail from Pousada Pedra Grande to Praia do Rosa is right in front and an easy walk, about five minutes to the beach. We'd definitely stay again!
