La Palma Hotel Fazenda

The staff were always polite, and the animals on the property seemed well cared for and easy to see. Whether the stay is worth the cost really depends on the price, though my experience was decent overall. The room was clean and the place was generally pleasant. One day, grass cutting made it a bit difficult to enjoy the facilities. The pool was okay, not especially clean but acceptable. The air conditioner worked well in summer, and breakfast had basic options and was decent. I tried the menu three times and found it average. The sauna was out of order for my whole two-week stay. Getting through the gate can be a hassle. It only opens at limited times, and you have to ask staff for help. There’s no other way in, and staff aren’t there around the clock, so you need to let them know if you’ll arrive late.
