The grounds were beautiful, with a huge lawn, trees, little benches and stumps to sit on, and an incredible view of the hills. Birds sang all day. It’s about 4.5 km from town, so it’s a peaceful spot close to nature. The road has a cobblestone stretch and then a dirt section that was in good shape. I drove a low car and had no trouble. I needed somewhere quiet and reasonably comfortable to sleep before an exam in Itabirito, and this worked well. Patricia, one of the owners, was warm and friendly from our first contact, very reassuring, and understanding about the times I needed to be there. The room was basic but clean and organized, with two single beds, a small wardrobe, two corner cabinets, a mini fridge, and a fan. The bathroom was simple too, with a good, roomy shower. I only wished there had been a mirror in it. Breakfast was great, just as Patricia had messaged, simple but made with care. There were different breads and cakes, ham, cheese, butter, black coffee, and some fruit. I had a really good stay. Patricia, her husband, the little dogs, and that lovely mountain view were what I enjoyed most.
