We felt safe walking around the neighborhood at different times, and most places were an easy walk from the hotel. Itajuba Flats also offered great value for the price. Our room was quiet and clean, with a handy little kitchenette and fridge, and there was off-street parking. The staff were friendly throughout, especially at reception, where most people spoke English very well. Eduardo, the owner, was welcoming, helpful with information, and easy to reach. At cafe the la manana, breakfast had fresh fruit, bread, and cheese, and the kitchen and serving staff were flexible with our grainless, sugarless diet. The food was fresh, with real eggs. There was also an exceptional guitarist at the downstairs lounge on Friday. My husband and I really enjoyed our stay.

Things were good overall, though breakfast could use some improvement. The staff promptly helped when we asked to have the beds changed.

The restaurant was good for dinner, and breakfast was good too. The flat itself was nice, but getting around the garage was difficult since it was so tight.
